Operating as an approved provider of health and safety representative (HSR) training in Western Australia

Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (the WHS Act) the Work Health and Safety Commission (the Commission) approves training providers to deliver courses for health and safety representatives. A guide has been developed for organisations seeking approval to deliver courses for health and safety representatives. 

Training courses for HSRs : Annual reports

The Work Health and Safety Commission criteria for accreditation, and the subsequent Commission approval, requires each provider of an training course representatives to submit an annual report on the delivery of courses for the year ending the preceding 30 June.

This guidance sets out the specific terms and conditions to conduct HSR training and the associated administrative procedures to help uphold public and industry confidence in the quality of HSR training in Western Australia. 

Health and safety representative refresher training course requirements: Guide
This guide provides the essential information for gaining approval to deliver HSR refresher training. Applicants must already be approved by the Work Health and Safety Commission to provide the initial five-day course.

The role of WorkSafe webinars

We  all approved registered training organisations offering the HSR five-day training course to participate in our weekly webinar, held every Tuesday, excluding weeks that include a public holiday.
