Compulsory Professional Development (CPD) is a legal requirement for all licensed settlement agents. Failure to complete your CPD requirements could result in your triennial certificate not being renewed.
Consumer Protection’s website provides detailed information about the CPD program for licensed settlement agents, including details of the approved subjects for 2018.
The program provided by our contracted trainers is of high quality, with approximately 90% of attendees surveyed in 2017 finding the content of sessions to be relevant and the presenters to be both professional and knowledgeable.
The Australian Institute of Conveyancers (WA Chapter) (AICWA) is under contract to deliver CPD activities to the settlement industry in 2018. The AICWA can be contacted directly for bookings and the first sessions are scheduled for 21 February 2018.
In 2018, distance learning will be administered by Consumer Protection. Distance learners will be able to complete their CPD requirements via eLearning modules administered through a Learning Management System called LearnBook.
Further information on the eligibility criteria for distance learning is available on Consumer Protection’s website.
If you need to complete your CPD activities by distance learning, please contact the CPD team by email after the dates below so that you can be provided with access to the resources.
The eLearning modules are being developed in the first half of 2018 and will be ready for you to undertake by the dates below.
