During 2014/15 financial year WorkSafe conducted an inspection program looking at safety issues in the motor vehicle repair sector and found serious concerns with motor vehicle hoists and traffic management.  WorkSafe issued more than 1300 notices during this program.  This financial year WorkSafe has expanded the program to include businesses across the state which use vehicle hoists, such as tyre sales and repair shops, vehicle body wrecking yards.
