Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 6 November 2024), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 34 cents per litre (cpl) to 191.3 cpl with EG Ampol, 7-Eleven, Caltex and BP hiking up to 209.9 cpl; Ampol up to 208.9 cpl; Coles Express/Reddy Express up to 207.9 cpl; Vibe up to 202.7 cpl; and United up to 196.5 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 28 individual sites offering ULP below 157 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 59 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $35 on a 60-litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 151.9 cpl at EG Ampol Brabham in the East;
  • 149.7 cpl at EG Ampol South Lake in the South; and
  • 149.7 cpl at EG Ampol Greenwood in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 155.9 cpl at FastFuel 24/7 in the East;
  • 150.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (Costco sites are membership based) and Costco Perth Airport and 153.9 cpl at BP Canning Vale OPT in the South; and
  • 151.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos and Burk Landsdale in the North.
