The responsible person also has general duties under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022. These general duties include ensuring that workers and contractors who drive commercial vehicles have adequate information, instruction, training and supervision, in order that they can work in a safe manner.
This package explains the impact of fatigue on commercial vehicle drivers and other road users and provides assistance to the responsible person at a workplace to develop a Driver Fatigue Management Plan, as required by Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 184F.
